Welcome to the Mindset Coach Academy Podcast. I'm Lindsey Wilson and I am a high-performance mindset coach, a mom, a former professional athlete and an entrepreneur. I help coaches and high performers optimize their mindset to improve their coaching, their performance in those of their athletes and their lives. Here you'll learn all about mindset, how to live it, how to teach it and how to sell it. Hi guys and welcome back to Mental Monday. It is the Mindset Coach Academy Podcast.
My name is Lindsey Wilson. Today we're talking about like this super powerful thought that came out of our coaching call today with our certified students. We're also talking about it a little bit in the insider program today. Sometimes there's these thoughts that just shift you into what we, I know what it shifts you into. We call it high vibe versus low vibe, right? Where you're like feeling down or feeling whatever, a little sorry for yourself. Maybe that's why you're here. Maybe that's why you're listening to this podcast because you need like a little jolt, a little push. And I think so many, so often when we're getting into that low vibe, it's like a comparison thing, either to other people or where we think we should be, or we're getting overwhelmed or we're feeling like, you know, the challenge in front of us is bigger than us. Like it's just a very, like almost, I should say for myself, a lot of times it's too many thoughts, too many just unproductive thoughts.
And sometimes it's victim, sometimes it's just sort of like, want, want, want, you know. And so anyway, we were talking about that, people are moving into Month three of the certification, which is a challenging month because you're really putting yourself out there by actually working with clients paid or unpaid, you're like sitting down and working with clients. And that's a scary, it's a big job, right? That's when rubber meets the road. And there's certain weeks of the certification, I've done this long enough where I know people really hit the wall sometimes mentally.
And that's like the biggest part, right? I mean, the skills, the work can be challenging, but like that's not really what holds people up. It's the feelings and the thoughts that come when they're doing that work, or when they need to make a jump, or when they need to go do something scary. And so often, because they do, I mean, we, we put a lot on our coaches because we want them to be ready, right? Like to get certified is a commitment.
And it's not a rubber stamp, you know, we couldn't have thrown up an online course on Udemy, and I don't know, made a bunch of money and had people not really prepared. So we prepare them. And so we have to push you in certain places.
And part of that is the goal of pushing them so that they learn to manage their mind and their thoughts as they get pushed by the way in the same way that they're going to ask their clients to do, right? And so one of the things that comes up a lot is I'm behind. right? Like I should be further along. And by the way, this is like just being an entrepreneur in general or maybe just being a human in general, where I wish I had done this and then I would be further ahead or I should be further ahead by now or you know, whatever it is and I should be making more money.
I should have more clients. I should be this and like some of that I think comes from just an unrealistic expectation for how long things take, right? And that's why we do so much thought work. That's why we do so much belief work because holding that belief that it is going to work out when it takes longer than you think and managing your mind in that messy middle and that discomfort is a huge part of our job. And whether it's your actual job as an entrepreneur or just your job as a human, it takes a lot of work.
And so today we're talking about it and here's the thought that really resonated with a lot of people. I just want you to try it on for size, right? Like whether you're out for a run right now or in your car emptying the dishwasher or loading the laundry. What if you had the thought, I'm right where I'm supposed to be.
I'm right where I'm supposed to be. I love this thought. When I say this thought, I feel empowered. I feel calm. I feel just as driven as I was before that thought, but in a way that feels healthy and energetic versus the other way, which does not.
So again, I'm sharing this with you because whether you're an entrepreneur or not or have an interest in being or absolutely not, it doesn't really matter. That feeling of being behind of I should be further along comes up a lot. I know because I coach people all the time. And so it is a very simple thing to shift our thoughts. It doesn't mean it's going to stay forever. You might have to shift it again later today, but just bringing yourself back to that power of shifting your thoughts and then noticing how you feel because that's going to be the motivation to maintain that new thought, right? Is like I actually feel pretty good when I think that thought versus whatever it was before. So again, what if you thought I am right where I'm supposed to be. You can put your hand on your chest. I'm right where I'm supposed to be.
I'm exactly where I'm supposed to be. Something like that. Just really feeling that in your body. I guarantee you're a good letter. Come on over to Instagram and tell me. I would love to hear from you guys. Like I know this is going to impact your day or I know it's going to make you feel a different way, which is going to allow you to show up differently. Tell me how it makes you feel. I know how it makes me feel and it feels amazing. It feels like almost like forgiveness now that I'm thinking that loud.
It almost feels like all the f ups I've had or all the mistakes I've made or all the ways that I can feel like not enough. Like they're all part of it. They all brought me here. This is where I'm supposed to be. Like I'm doing okay. I can forget myself because all that was part of the journey.
I couldn't have skipped any of that. I'm right where I'm supposed to be. So I hope that helps you again. Come over to Instagram @lindseypositiveperform. Let me know about it. I would love to hear from you. All right guys, we'll see you again next week for Mental Monday.
Bye for now. Hi guys, real quick before we get started today, I wanted to tell you that if you're listening to this podcast in June, there is still time to join the Mindset Coach Academy certification. You know, we only open it up a couple of times a year and it is opening June 18th, the waitlist first. So we're going to do that.
We're also going to have some cool webinars that week. One with Brian Smendley, who was one of our most successful certified coaches. She runs a multiple seven figure business called the Elite Competitor. And we're going to be talking about the five questions you must answer before becoming a Mental Performance Coach.
Who, what, why, when, and how of actually making this a business for yourself. So come on to that first. We'll put the link in the show notes. It's on June 18th at noon Pacific time. We also later that week on the 20th have like an open Q &A with me and some other coaches just on trying to figure out if the certification is a right next step for you. So if you're not on the waitlist, I would go to depositperformancetraining.com and get your sweet buns on that waitlist because we will fill up. So anyway, hope to see your application come through in the Mindset Coach Academy certification.
