Welcome to the Mindset Coach Academy Podcast. I'm Lindsey Wilson and I am a high-performance mindset coach, a mom, a former professional athlete and an entrepreneur. I help coaches and high performers optimize their mindset to improve their coaching, their performance and those of their athletes and their lives. Here you'll learn all about mindset, how to live it, how to teach it and how to sell it. Hi all and welcome to Mindset Coach Academy podcast.
It's Mental Monday.
Guys, we're gonna talk about one tool, just one. And I'm thinking about this one tool or technique a lot now because this is what we're working on in our insider program. We just graduated a class of our certification students and they come into the insider program to really build and scale their mindset coaching businesses. And we're taking them through a six-step process. It's our six-step 100k process and I'll talk more about that in a longer episode. But today one of the things that I wanted to talk about was one of the principles of that process. It's not a step but it's sort of an overarching theme and it's this. It's simplify and focus. And so what this looks like from a business standpoint is really focusing on what we do is we do one offer.
In other words, one product, one service offering for that entire six months. And whether you're an entrepreneur or not, it doesn't really matter. But the way that I want you to sort of use this in your life is just look at just one area of your life and think of how you can do less in that one area. So again, for our entrepreneurs, it's how can I not offer 10 different products or services but one and get really good at that one.
And so for you, maybe it's one change in your diet or one hobby or one new exercise routine, something like that one focus area. Because otherwise, we get overwhelmed and we don't get that momentum. And then we don't actually get good at that one thing. Because once we get good at that one thing, we can use whether that builds on to something else or not is not really the point. We use the skill of getting good at that one thing to then get good at something else. So in other words, for my entrepreneur students, it's they get good at the skill of selling and delivering that one thing.
So then when they add another thing, whether they're related or not, they have the skill set of getting good at the first thing, if that makes sense. So again, simplify and focus. And you can't really focus without simplifying.
So that's why those go together. So one aspect of your life, really commit and use the discipline that I know that you have to clear the clutter and commit to one thing and make no mistake about it. This is not easy. I think sometimes our brain tricks us and says, No, I'm a hardworking driven person. So I'm going to do a lot of things.
But what is even harder than doing a lot of things is doing one thing. Trust me. Okay, try it. Let me know. Come on over to Instagram. Tell me about it.
I want to hear from you. And this will help guys, but make no mistake about it. Your brain will tell you not to do it.
But you need to override that. All right, guys, that's my mental Monday. We'll see you again next week.
