Hi, y'all, and welcome to the Mindset Coach Academy Podcast. I'm Lindsey Wilson. Today we're gonna talk a little bit more about the business of being a mindset Coach. And this is Mental Monday. So this will be a little short one, I might expand this into a longer episode at some point.

But I wanted to talk if you are a mindset coach or an aspiring mindset coach. One of the things that are really counterintuitive, from a marketing perspective and from a growth in your business perspective, is truly the idea that less is more and being more constrained. And keeping it simpler and being more direct and speaking to actually less people.

So that's really what I want to talk about today. It's likely something that you've heard before, about niching down, but I want to talk about it even further. And I also want to just give you permission to do that. Because sometimes you have to hear things multiple times. Because it does feel so counterintuitive, right? So like a lot of people go into business.

And they think, Well, the way that I'm going to grow my business is to appeal to a lot of people, right, like cast a really wide net. And therefore, I have more potential clients. And so it takes us actively, consciously making ourselves not do that because it feels more intuitive, and it feels more natural.

But just because it's intuitive doesn't mean that it's actually right, especially when it comes to a business standpoint or marketing standpoint. And so, again, I probably you've heard this before, but niching down closer to who you are actually great at working with who you are passionate about working with, who you can get the best results from now, let me say that, again, who you can get the best results from or with because when we niche down to the group that most wants to work with us is most excited about working with us can get the best results, our business grows faster, because here's what happens.

The first thing that happens is that person feels like you're in their head, like I get emails from people on the regular that say, you know I feel like you're speaking directly to me. You want to be talking to a specific person because otherwise, you don't cut through the noise. There are so many emails going out. There's so much on social media, there's so much stimulus out there that people have to filter, right.

And we know, because we're mindset coaches, that our reticular activating system allows us to filter so when something is speaking to us, we paid attention. So that's the first thing. But the second thing is those are the people that are going to get better results. And when they get a better result, a couple things happen, your confidence grows, you have better testimonials, and they tell all their friends or their friends start noticing.

So when we niche down, we get better results, which allows us to get that momentum. When we cast a wide net, we don't get through the noise. And then we don't even we get kind of like so so results. Maybe we get some more good results. But we don't necessarily get enough to build fast.

So again, counterintuitive, probably something you've heard before, let this be the time that it sinks in and you say oh, okay, now I have permission, Lindsey told me to, to niche down. And here's the thing, what I tell a lot of my students, if there's some resistance on any, excuse me sort of business advice.

Just try it for six months. Just try it, just listen to all the people telling you to do it. And you don't have to do it forever. But you do have to stick with it for a little while. So try for six months, and see how it goes. Stick with a niche and go down deep, you're gonna get better results. Alright guys, we'll see you again next week. Bye for now.
