Hi all and welcome to Mindset Coach Academy podcast, it's mental Monday, where we talk about one tip tool or technique that you can implement today or this week, to up your mental game, I want to talk about being curious about your brain.

So this is a little tip, a little thing that you can implement right now. That can really alter the way your day goes, it is a sort of fun. And it's this, it's bringing a level of curiosity to how your brain works. So paying attention, almost like coming out of yourself, and watching your brain work.

Now a lot of us do this really naturally with other people, you know, we might notice how someone reacts to something or we might be trying to figure out sort of, you know, like, what makes them tick, as we say, right. And I want to offer that you can do this for yourself.

And not only does it create awarenesses, new thoughts new information about how you operate, but it also creates a detachment that can be really powerful. It can allow you to recognize that so much of how we are reacting or how our day is going or the thoughts that we have feels unavoidable, right? It feels automatic, it feels like there's nothing we can do except go along for the ride.

And when we step back and have curiosity, again, not only do we gather important information about ourselves, but we also create that distance to say, Oh, this is not real. This is just how my brain wants to react at this moment.

But it doesn't mean I have to write it creates an empowering moment, where you then get to sort of decide, okay, this is how, this might feel like it's automatic, but it's actually not I can decide to do something else, I can decide to have different thoughts, I can decide to react in a different way. And when we bring that sense of curiosity, we are empowered to shift.

So what this might look like is it might look like this podcast ending and you're sitting at your desk or in your car or having coffee and saying what am I thinking? And how is that thought? Creating? what's around me? How am I bringing different energy and interactions to my spouse or my co-workers or my team or my clients? How am I feeling in my body?

What are my thoughts? How are my thoughts creating how much energy I have and what I choose to do next with my day? And when we can do that then we can shift them and we can decide? Is that a thought? Is that thought serving me? Is that attitude and energy that I'm bringing to the situation is that in my best interest?

And what happens if I just shifted a little bit so again, it's that curiosity it's not blame it's not a shame it's not a I'm doing this wrong it's a curiosity and play with it that's what curiosity is play with it and start shifting things and have fun with it.
