Hi all and welcome to Mental Monday. My name is Lindsay Wilson. And every Monday, I give you one thing, tool, or technique that you can implement in your life today or this week. So let's get into it.

So I've noticed in myself that well back to what we teach, okay, we always teach mindset and action, mindset and action, mindset and action, you will hear me say that over and over my insider students, my certified students know that I tell them that all the time when it comes to entrepreneurship. Everything is mindset and action, both Okay?

And what I'm gonna talk about today is, is there something from an action standpoint that can or will make you feel better? Something simple? And I bring it back to this because, yes, it's great to work on our mindset. Yes, you're listening to this podcast means you understand how important this is. But sometimes I think we can kind of stay in that mindset and forget that we have to kind of bounce between the two.

So one actionable thing that is maybe like the low-hanging fruit that will pay big dividends. So let me give an example. And you're probably gonna laugh at this example because it is so simple, but I want you to think about this in your own life. So for me, right now, I'm starting work again. But I got a baby and am breastfeeding and like, sometimes it just feels kind of gross, right? Like, I haven't showered.

And even when I do, like, my metabolism is so high that I just kind of feel gross often. And I'm pretty good at dealing with being gross because I'm an athlete. You know, like, if I go for a run, I don't necessarily shower right after. It doesn't bother me. That's just how I am. But maybe a lot of you can relate. But one thing that I've noticed, is that an actionable thing that can sort of give me that upward momentum is showering for the day.

Now, I don't do it every day, because sometimes I'm gonna work out and I don't shower right before workout. So it's not to say that this thing that you're going to do has to be every single day all the time. But for me, getting myself ready to have a productive day means maybe showering, maybe, I don't know, putting on some mascara like let's not go crazy.

But that actionable thing that actually doesn't take that long feels like it does, but doesn't take that long, can give me that forward momentum. And again, you might think this is a silly example. But sometimes the things that we need to do the little action that we need to do to just get some, again, forward momentum can be the thing that's right in front of us.

So maybe for you, it's I don't know, taking a five-minute walk in the morning. Maybe it's drinking a big thing of water in the morning, something actionable that gives you that forward momentum. For me, again, it's showering and maybe putting on jeans instead of sweatpants. Right. Like it doesn't have to be big. In fact, it shouldn't be big, something actionable, that you know, from your past and knowing yourself, that gives you a little boost.

What is that thing that you can do now? You know, great to work on your mindset. Glad you're here. Let's keep doing that. But also what is the small thing that maybe is right in front of you, that can also give you that little mental boost by taking some action, okay, so don't underestimate the power of a shower. That's just my example. You can do whatever you want, but do something actionable. You got this.
